Being a member of a co-operative is immensely rewarding. Working as agents for one another, members get to know the casting side of the business; and are able to direct and control their careers, in a supportive and lively company.
As well as putting your fellow actors before casting agents and directors and seeing their work, you will be developing contacts, marketing members and negotiating contracts. All this in addition to attending auditions and performing.
It is very important that members are committed to participating in the running of the office. All of our members spend around 3 days per month in the agency (when not acting), and attend a monthly meeting.
There is also a financial commitment to fund the running of the office, payable in stages, upon being accepted as a provisional and then as a full member.
We usually need to see your work before we can consider you, so do invite us to your productions with as much notice as possible. Please bear in mind that if we already have someone that fits your description, we may feel we cannot do you justice. Have a look at our Client Pages to get an idea of whether there’s a place for you. Our membership needs do change. If there is not a place at present, there may be one further in the future.
If we think you may be a good addition, we will invite you for an informal interview (we do not audition people) and give you a decision the next day. Further details will be given before interview and if you have any further questions, please give us a call.
